On Wednesday, 11 March 2026, the Minister for Commerce, Industry and Trade, Honourable Manqoba Khumalo, announced the appointment of Ms Siboniselizulu Simelane Maseko as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Eswatini Competition Commission. She will officially assume the role on 31 March 2026.
In making the announcement, the Honourable Minister highlighted Ms Simelane Maseko’s extensive knowledge and expertise in Competition Law and Policy. She previously served at the Commission before gaining valuable regional experience with the COMESA Competition and Consumer Commission (CCCC). She later returned to the Eswatini Competition Commission in 2024 as Director Competition & Consumer Protection, bringing with her a wealth of experience and insight.
